Louisiana Horsemen Overwhelmingly Defeat Bills That Would Have Disrupted Industry

LQHBA members and friends helped to defeat two bills that would have devastated the state's racing industry.

After committee hearings on Senate Bill 226 and House Bill 585, the authors of both bills voluntarily deferred them after meeting with staunch opposition from both committees.

  "A special thank you goes to all LQHBA members and friends who made calls and showed their overwhelming support to defeat these bills," LQHBA Executive Director said today.
